Shane was born on January 12, 1976 in Shreveport to Gary and Cathy Basinger. He was a loving and devoted husband. Shane loved his daughters, and was a wonderful father, showing his girls how dear they were to him and enjoyed being together as a family. He was a caring friend, one who would do anything if asked. Shane was such a joy to be with and will be missed by all who knew him.
Jadyn was born on May 5, 2002 in Shreveport to Shane and Kerri Basinger. She was an honor student at Walnut Hill Elementary. Kinsley was born on March 17, 2004 in Shreveport to Shane and Kerri Basinger. She was to be in the 1st grade at Walnut Hill Elementary. Jadyn and Kinsley were such loving and sweet children who could light up a room and were such a joy to be around. They were their Nanny's and Pappaw's little angels and loved dearly.

In an interview with FOX16, Kerri Basinger said "They just found my oldest daughter today. She was the last one missing. They found her and she wasn't far from the campsite." She also said that "You'd grab something and then that tree would break and you could hear your kids hollering to come get them and you couldn't go to get them because the current was so strong."
